He also shared this information in Sunday’s edition of his Power On newsletter. New 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with Apple’s already-released M4 chip, which has a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, are expected to debut this week.
The newly-updated MacBook Air will join the M4 lineup, alongside the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini with M4 chips that debuted in October of last year.
We can expect to see the new MacBook Air lineup have 16GB minimum RAM, with a maximum RAM option of 32GB. Extended battery life is also expected.
The new MacBook Air is expected to be equipped with the same upgraded 12-megapixel camera the MacBook Pro recently gained. The camera should. offer support for Center Stage, a feature that automatically keeps you centered on video as you move around, and Desk View, which shows both you and an overhead view of your desk.
The new Air models will also likely boast three Thunderbolt 4 ports, up from the two Thunderbolt 3 ports on current models, and it will also likely offer support for two external display, even with the lid opened.
If the new MacBook Air models are announced this week, we expect to see it via a press release and perhaps a YouTube video announcement.
