Apple CEO Tim Cook earlier today made a social media post, teasing a “launch” of some sort that will happen on Wednesday, February 19.
“Get ready to meet the newest member of the family,” he said, with an #AppleLaunch hashtag. The post includes a short video of an shiny animated Apple logo inside a circle.
The mysterious post did not include an exact time or any other details about “the newest member of the family.”
Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman later posted that the post is a teaser for Apple announcing a new iPhone SE.
That said, we’ve also seen several rumors indicating we will also see new MacBook Air, iPad Air, and entry-level iPad models will be launch in the coming weeks. Other Apple products epected to debut sometime this year include new AirTag, a new smart home hub, and more.
Since Cooks’ tweet doesn’t include a time of day for the debut of the new product, it will likely be announced via a press release rather than an actual event. We could also see a YouTube announcement video also, as Apple has done in the past when it announced new Macs with M4 chips last year.
