Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup will offer a slight boost in wired charging speeds, if a note with investment firm GF Securities, shared by MacRumors this week is correct.
In the note, Apple supply chain analyst Jeff Pu said the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will all support up to 35W wired charging speeds.
Last year, it was found that Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro handsets had maximum charging speeds of about 30W, so the boost in charging speed will be slight.
Pu did not mention the possible wireless MagSafe charging speeds for any iPhone 17 models. The current iPhone 16 models can charge at up to 25W via MagSafe.
