A Weibo leaker claims Apple is planning to “significantly change” the iPhone’s design language later this year. Weibo user “Digital Chat Station” has posted that the iPhone’s design is “starting to change significantly” this year.
Apple’s appearance design has begun to change drastically. The new ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air has a horizontal strip runway design, and the Pro series has a horizontal large matrix design. The current product line has added a large folding design and started to roll up.
The leaker claims the “iPhone 17 Air” will feature a “horizontal, bar-shaped” design on the rear, possibly referring to an elongated camera bump. The Pro models will allegedly adopt a “large horizontal matrix design.”
Digital Chat Station’s post comes on the heels of leaker Jon Prosser sharing a render he says is of the iPhone 17 Pro, showing three rear cameras arranged in a familiar triangular layout, but housed in an new rectangular bar that stretches across the back of the device.
The new Weibo post also referred to an impending “large foldable model.” The Weibo account has in the past shared accurate information about the iPhone 12 mini’s display, iPhone 16 Pro size increases, and more.
The iPhone 17 lineup won’t be unveiled until this fall, se we can expect to see plenty of other rumors about its design and features until then.
