While Apple never publicizes the amount of RAM in their iPhones, it has been confirmed that the new iPhone 16e is equipped with 8GB of RAM.
MacRumors reports that it was able to confirm the amount of RAM in the iPhone 16e in Apple’s developer tool Xcode.
It was common knowledge that the iPhone 16e would support Apple Intelligence, meaning the device would have 8GB of RAM, as that is the minimum amount of memory required for Apple Intelligence. Other iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models also have 8GB of RAM. The iPhone SE that the iPhone 16e replaced was equipped with 4GB of RAM.
The iPhone 16e is powered by an A18 chip, providing compatibility with Apple Intelligence. The new base model iPhone 16 boasts a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch for Face ID, a single 48-megapixel rear camera, a USB-C port, an Action button, Apple’s new internally-designed C1 modem for 5G, and more.
iPhone 16e pre-orders begin 5 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, February 21, with availability beginning Friday, February 28 in 59 countries and regions. In the U.S., pricing starts at $599. The device is available with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage capacities.
