Microsoft has announced a new feature in Windows 11 that allows iPhone users to access their devices directly from the Start menu. The feature had previously been limited to Android phones.
The new feature offers the ability to view your iPhone’s battery status and connectivity, offers the ability to access messages and calls, and keep track of the latest activities, all integrated into the Windows Start menu.
Setting up the integration involves simply opening the Start menu and selecting “iPhone” from the right-side pane, then following the on-screen instructions to establish the connection between your iPhone and PC.
These features are gradually rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels. They can be managed via Settings > Personalization > Start (support link).
Requirements:
- Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 4805 and higher in Beta Channel and 26120.3000 and higher in Dev channel.
- Phone Link version 1.24121.30.0 or higher.
- Your PC must be signed in with a Microsoft account and must have Bluetooth LE capability.
- Not supported for PCs running Pro Education or Education SKUs.
