ChatGPT Adds Reminders and Tasks Support

OpenAI on Tuesday announced that it added a new “Tasks” beta feature to ChatGPT, adding support for reminders for upcoming tasks. The feature allows both one-time reminders or recurring actions, allowing users to use conversational language to set up notifications for tasks.

OpenAI says the Tasks feature is an “important step toward making it more of a helpful AI companion that can take on tasks on your behalf.”

Reminders can be created in chat or via the tasks page under the profile menu, though the “4o with scheduled tasks” model needs to be selected. The new model is still rolling out to subscribers.

During the beta, users can set only 10 active tasks at a time. Push notifications will also work through ChatGPT’s macOS app.

Tasks is currently available to Plus, Pro, and Teams subscribers in a beta capacity, and will someday be available to everyone with a ChatGPT account.
