Apple today seeded the second beta of its upcoming macOS Sequoia 15.3 update to developers for testing, with the new seed coming three weeks after Apple released the initial beta seed.
The betas are currently only available to registered developers at this time, and can be downloaded from the settings app on each device.
The macOS Sequoia 15.3 beta brings Genmoji to the Mac, allowing Mac users to use the custom made emoji characters for the first time. While the Genmoji feature was included in iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, it was not available in the macOS 15.2 update.
Genmoji, allows Mac users to input a text prompt to create a custom character that behaves just like an emoji on devices running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1 and later. Genmoji can be added from the emoji palette on the keyboard, which can be activated by clicking on the emoji icon in Messages, or with the Control + Command + Space keyboard shortcut in an app like Notes.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
