Apple CEO Tim Cook Personally Contributes $1 Million to Trump’s Inauguration Fund

Apple CEO Tim Cook Personally Contributes $1 Million to Trump’s Inauguration Fund

Apple CEO Tim Cook has contributed $1 million of his personal finances to President-elect Donald Trump‘s inauguration fund.

Trump will be inaugurated on January 20, 2025, and several tech companies and their CEOs have been making large contributions to the inauguration. While Cook is contributing $1 million of his own bankroll into the inauguration fund, Apple itself will not contribute any funds, according to a report from Axios.

While it may seem a bit odd that Tim Cook would donate to conservative Trump’s inauguration, it isn’t really that unusual. Cook has an interest in staying on Trump’s good side. Cook immediately made a congratulatory post after the election, followed by dinner with the president-elect.

Apple will be looking to gain favor with Trump, when it comes to getting possible exemptions and protection from tariffs and regulations.

Tim Cook isn’t alone in kissing up to president-elect Trump. Executives representing Meta, Amazon, and other big tech firms have been making the trek to Mar-a-Lago and have donated $1 million or more.
