visionOS 2.2 With Ultrawide Mac Virtual Display Now Available

Apple on Monday released visionOS 2.2, the second major update of the visionOS 2 operating system for the Apple Vision Pro. visionOS 2 was released in September.

The ‌visionOS‌ 2.2 update can be installed by opening the Settings app on the Vision Pro and going to the “General” section and selecting “Software Update.” To install the update, the Vision Pro headset will need to be removed to install new software, and a progress bar will be shown on the front EyeSight display.

visionOS 2.2 adds new wide and ultrawide aspect ratios to the Mac Virtual Display feature, as well as Multiview for watching up to five MLS and MLB games at once. It also allows users to view spatial photos and videos that are embedded on web pages.
