Apple today seeded the first betas of its upcoming iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 updates to developers for testing. The new betas come one week following the public release of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.3.
There’s no word yet on what’s included in iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, but Apple is still working to roll out Apple Intelligence features. The betas could include updates to Siri, as well as other features Apple has in development, including personal context, on-screen awareness, and the ability to do more in and between apps.
Apple Intelligence features require an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 model, iPadOS 18.2 requires an iPad with an A17 Pro or M-series chip and macOS Sequoia 15.2 requires a Mac with an M-series chip.
With iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 testing starting in December, the updates will likely be released sometime in late January.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone or iPad. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
