Resident Evil 2 Hits iPhone, iPad, and Mac Platforms on December 10

Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 remake will land on Apple devices on December 10, according to a MacRumors report. It will be the fourth Resident Evil title to arrive on Apple’s mobile platforms.

A deadly virus engulfs the residents of Raccoon City in September of 1998, plunging the city into chaos as flesh eating zombies roam the streets for survivors. An unparalleled adrenaline rush, gripping storyline, and unimaginable horrors await you. Witness the return of Resident Evil 2.

A limited part of the base game can be played for free. In order to play the full game, an in-app purchase is required. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but, based on the other Resident Evil titles already in the App Store, the game is likely to be priced somewhere between $19.99 and $59.99.

Resident Evil 2 requires an iPhone 15 Pro or and iPhone 16 series devices to run. iPads and Macs will need to be powered by an M1 chip or later. The player’s progression in the game will be updated across all of the compatible devices a gamer owns, so players can pick up and continue from their latest spot in the game on all of their devices. A single purchase grants access to the full game across all Apple platforms.

Resident Evil 2 can now be pre-ordered on the App Store. The iPhone app will require 22.1GB of storage when it becomes available, so plan accordingly.
