Mercedes-Benz Debuts New Apple Watch App

Mercedes-Benz has announced an all-new Apple Watch app offering a wide range of new features. The app, which is now available in the App Store, offers real-time vehicle information, the ability to lock and unlock your vehicle from your wrist, and more.

In a press release today, Mercedes-Benz announced the new Apple Watch app, which the carmaker says comes in response to customer demand:

  • Customers can easily interact with their vehicles, without using their smartphones
  • A seamless and interactive user experience beyond the car

  • Locating a parked vehicle and pedestrian route navigation to it
  • Compass mode for navigation in open areas where mapping is unavailable
  • Lock and unlock vehicle remotely
  • Access the most important information and car status
  • View information such as vehicle range, battery or fuel level

“This new integration allows owners to interact with their vehicles seamlessly, without needing to access their smartphone,” says Mercedes-Benz in the release.

The new Mercedes-Benz app for Apple Watch can be downloaded from the App Store. It’s available for Apple Watch models running watchOS 9 or newer.

To use the Mercedes-Benz app features on Apple Watch, customers need to have a Mercedes-Benz account and the Mercedes-Benz-App (version 3.50.0 and later) needs to be installed on the customer’s smartphone.

The availability of certain features in the Mercedes-Benz app on Apple Watch is dependent on the vehicle’s model and equipment. Features such as Navigation and EV-specific functions may only be available on eligible vehicles. The Mercedes Benz mobile app is also required, and available for 2019 and newer models.
