macOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta Adds New AirPlay Options, More Control Over What You Show on Apple TV

Apple released the second beta of macOS Sequoia 15.2 earlier this week and the new beta brings a revamped AirPlay, which includes new option allowing you to show a more limited amount of your screen and its information when AirPlaying to an Apple TV.

When you activate AirPlay, you’ll see new options to show: your entire screen, a specific window or app, or your extended display. Limiting ‌AirPlay‌ to a specific app allows you to show a presentation, photos, or another app to be shared on the larger screen of a TV without allowing viewers to see all of the content on your Mac.

While the current version of macOS allows users to mirror their Mac’s display to an ‌Apple TV‌, there is no option to share only a portion of a display.

‌macOS Sequoia‌ 15.2 is in beta right now and is being tested by both developers and public beta testers. Apple is planning to release ‌macOS Sequoia‌ 15.2 to the public in early December. The update also brings Apple Intelligence features like ChatGPT/Siri integration and Image Playground.
