AT&T Turbo Indicator Appearing in iPhone Status Bar for ‘Premium’ Subscribers

A “Turbo” indicator has begun displaying on the iPhones of AT&T customers that subscribe to its premium network prioritization service, according to reports on Reddit.

Just curious – what does this indicator mean? First time I am seeing this, and doesn’t matter if connected to WiFi or not, it stays the same. I do have AT&T Turbo, but not in a crowded area. Smallish town in Kentucky.

The new indicator appears to have started showing up after the users’ handset has been updated to iOS 18.1.1, although that could just be a coincidence.

AT&T’s turbo feature is a $7 monthly add-on that provides enhanced network performance through prioritized data access, offering improved speeds and lower latency for activities like gaming and video streaming.
