Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says Apple will unveil several new M4 Mac models near the end of October, launching at least some of the Macs as soon as Friday, November 1. Gurman’s comments came in his latest Power On newsletter.
Gurman says Apple will launch a new M4-powered version of its low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro, alongside higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips.
Gurman reports that we’ll also see refreshed desktop Macs, as Apple is planning to debut a revamped Mac mini with both M4 and M4 Pro chip options. Apple’s all-in-one desktop model, the iMac, will also receive an M4 upgrade.
Apple is also expected to unveil a refreshed iPad mini, possibly in early November. The update would be the first for Apple’s smallest tablet since 2021.
Gurman also laid out what he says are Apple’s hardware release plans for the first half of 2025. The company is expected to unveil a new iPhone SE boasting Apple Intelligence, M4 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models, a refreshed AirTag, and revamped 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models alongside new Magic Keyboards.
While new Mac Studio and Mac Pro models with M4 chips are in development, power users will need to wait a bit longer, as Gurman says they are scheduled for later releases. The Mac Studio is expected to arrive around mid-2025, with the Mac Pro debuting towards the end of the year.
