Apple today released a new version of its iPadOS 18.0.1 update intended only for use on the iPad mini 7, which will hit shelves on Wednesday.
While the new iPadOS 18.0.1 update features the same content as the previous iPadOS 18.0.1 update that was released earlier this month, it carries a new build number, 22A8380. Customers who pre-ordered the new iPad mini will also begin receiving their new precious on Wednesday and the update will be available during the setup process.
Launch versions of the iPad mini 7 have a version of iOS 18.0 installed rather than iPadOS 18.0.1, which is why there’s an immediate out-of-the-box update available.
The iOS 18.0.1 update included fixes several bugs, including issues with the device’s touch screen, camera, and Messages app.
