The Slow Horses season four premiere episode is now available for viewing on Apple TV+. The Emmy nominated spy series first premiered in April 2020 and has debuted a new season each year since. The series is nominated for 9 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series.
The quick-witted spy thriller, which has become quite popular among viewers and critics, follows a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents-and their obnoxious but sly boss, Jackson Lamb. The series stars Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden, and Kristin Scott Thomas. Season four is based on the fourth book in the Mick Herron franchise, called Spook Street.
In season four, the agents at Slough House are faced with (yes another) mass conspiracy. A suicide bomber attacks a shopping mall during the holiday season, while Agent River’s grandfather, played by Jonathan Pryce, seemingly has killed his grandson as his dimentia begins to worsen.
Season four of Slow Horses will see an episode released each week, on Wednesday. If you’re the type of viewer that would rather binge an entire season in one sitting, all of the episodes will be available on October 9, when the final episode of the season becomes available. You can kill time until them by bingeing the first three seasons, all of which are recommended viewing.
Slow Horses has proven to be so popular that Apple TV has already renewed the series for a fifth season, which has already been filmed. The fifth season will likely be released during 2025.
Slow Horses is available for viewing on the Apple TV app with an Apple TV+ subscription. Get a free 7-day trial here.
