Apple Seeds Ninth visionOS 2 Beta to Developers for Testing

Apple has released the ninth beta of its upcoming visionOS 2 update to developers for testing. The ‌new visionOS‌ 2 beta comes one week after the eighth beta release.

The ‌visionOS‌ 2 beta can be downloaded by developers by going to the Settings app on the device and toggling on the developer betas switch. Access to the beta requires a registered developer account. Apple recommends that developers make a backup before installing the new beta.

The update brings a powerful new way for users to create spatial photos using the images already stored in their library. The update also brings new intuitive hand gestures, as well as new features for Mac Virtual Display, Travel Mode, and Guest User.

Later in the year, Mac Virtual Display will support higher resolution and larger-sized virtual displays, which Apple says will be equivalent to two 4K monitors side by side.

The Mindfulness app can track and respond to breathing patterns using the camera, offering an improved meditation experience, and visionOS 2‌ brings Bluetooth mouse support to the Vision Pro.

As usual, both MacTrast and Apple warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Vision Pro, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
