Apple on Monday released the first beta of its upcoming visionOS 2.1 update to developers for testing. The visionOS 2.1 beta comes one week after the release of the first beta.
The visionOS 2.1 beta can be downloaded by developers by going to the Settings app on the device and toggling on the developer betas switch. Access to the beta requires a registered developer account. Apple recommends that developers make a backup before installing the new beta.
While Apple hasn’t yet announced what’s included in visionOS 2.1, there are visionOS 2 features that have not yet been released, including support for Multiview for MLS and MLB games and the option to use a larger ultra-wide screen for the Mac Virtual Display.
As usual, both MacTrast and Apple warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Apple Vision Pro, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
