Latest Steve Jobs Auction Features Jobs-Worn Bomber Jacket, Sealed Original iPhone, Many Other Items

The RR Auction site, known for its Apple-related auctions has once again put several Apple and Steve Jobs-related items on the auction block. The site’s “Steve Jobs and the Apple Revolution” event includes a still sealed 4GB original iPhone, an Apple-1 computer, Jobs’ bomber jacket, and much more.

One item sure to attract a goodly amount of bidding interest is a Steve Jobs-worn bomber jacket that he wore in a well-known 1983 photograph where Jobs is flipping off an IBM sign in New York City. The high bid on the bomber jacket at the time of this writing is $10,000. The item is expected to bring as much as $75,000.

A fully operational Apple-1 Computer owned by former Apple employee Dana Redington is also on the auction block. The computer came from a “trade-in” pile Jobs had in his office. The Steves (Jobs and Wozniak) gave the historic computer to Reddington. Apple-1 expert Corey Cohen has restored the computer to working order. The top bid for the Apple-1 is currently $97,437 and the computer is expected to attract a top bid of more than $300,000.

A “pitch deck” of several original Polaroids that were used by Jobs when presenting the Apple-1 to Paul Terrell is also up for auction. Terrell historically ordered a batch of Apple-1 computers to sell in The Byte Shop, and the Polaroids were a part of Jobs’ pitch deck. The current bid for the auction item sits at $2,651. The images are expected to go for $30,000+.

A sealed-in-box 4GB ‌iPhone‌ is also up for sale. A similar OG iPhone attracted worldwide media attention when it sold for over $190,000 at another auction in July 2023. Bidding for the iPhone currently sits at $8,860. The auction house expects the device to sell for $80,000+.

Other items up for auction include a Polaroid taken for Steve Jobs NeXT ID badge, several vintage magazines with Jobs on the covers, classic Macs, Jobs-signed checks, a Steve Jobs business card, Jobs’ 1972 high school yearbook, and several other items.

The auction also includes several other historic items, including autographs from Microsoft’s Bill Gates and items signed by current Apple CEO, Tim Cook. Also included in the auction are a rare PDP-8 system, early video game arcade cabinets, and more.

The “Steve Jobs and the Apple Revolution” auction event, containing nearly 300 items, is scheduled to run to August 22, 2024.
