The latest betas of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia bring new functionality to the iPhone Mirroring feature that allows users to control their iPhone from their Mac desktop. In previous betas, iPhone Mirroring did not support management of the Home Screen, but the new betas have added that feature.
As first noted by 9to5Mac, Apple has enabled an option to enter jiggle mode. Once the iPhone Mirroring app has been activated, users can enter jiggle mode by clicking and holding on the iPhone’s Home Screen. After entering this mode, users can do everything that can be done in jiggle mode on the iPhone itself, including rearranging and deleting apps and managing widgets.
Users can also add widgets, adjust the size of widgets, activate app long press functionality, turn on dark mode icons, or opt into icon tinting.
Currently, there is no option to get to the Lock Screen or Control Center, and notifications can only be viewed through the Mac notification center.
The new jiggle functionality is now available in the iOS 18, iOS 18.1, macOS 15, and macOS 15.1 betas.
