Apple to Relocate Huntsville, AL Store Later This Week

Apple has announced that it will relocate its retail store at the Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville, Alabama to a new location within the same outdoor shopping center on Saturday, August 31, at 10 a.m. local time.

As noted in Michael Steeber’s weekly newsletter about Apple retail, the new retail store will be moving just a few units down from the existing store at Bridge Street Town Centre, next to Athleta. The new Apple retail location will be much larger and will boast a more modern design compared to the original.

Bridge Street is the only Apple Store between Birmingham and the Nashville metro area, so its big move comes not a day too soon. The existing store is a bit like a time capsule, trapped in amber since it opened in May 2008 save for a giant iPod nano 3rd generation in the window.

The new location will be the first new store opening for the company since it’s Malaysian store opening in late June.
