Apple on Monday released watchOS 10.6.1 to the public, a minor update to the watchOS 10 operating system that was released in September.
The watchOS 10.6.1 update update fixes an issue that could prevent access to the Apple Fitness+ service.
watchOS 10.6.1 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to “General” -> “Software Update.” The Apple Watch needs to have at least a 50% battery charge, needs to be on a charger, and needs to be in the range of the iPhone.
Apple will soon cease updates to watchOS 10, as watchOS 11, the next-generation version of watchOS, is set to be released in September.
