Apple ‘It’s Glowtime’ Event to be Held September 9th

Apple today announced the date and time for its upcoming annual iPhone-focused “It’s Glowtime” event. The event will be held at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Monday, September 9. (Apple had been expected to hold it on September 10.) Select members of the media have received invitations to the event.

Apple will unveil the iPhone 16 lineup at this years event, as well as new Apple Watch models, and new 4th-generation AirPods. The company will also announce the official release dates for iOS 18, iPdOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and other software updates.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 models are expected to be powered by more powerful A18 chips, which will power Apple Intelligence, Apple’s Artificial Intelligence engine. The displays of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max handsets are expected to be slightly larger, and all four new iPhone 16 models will get a new Capture Button for taking photos.

We are expecting to see an Apple Watch Series 10, a new generation of the Apple Watch SE, and a refreshed Apple Watch Ultra be unveiled at the event.

The new AirPods are expected to debut in two models for the first time. The low-end AirPods 4 will be similar to the current AirPods model, while the high-end version will boast Active Noise Cancellation.

Apple plans to stream the fall event live on its website, on YouTube, and via the Apple TV app. If you’re unable to watch the event, we’ll be covering it immediately following the event.
