Well, it took 13 years, but Snapchat has finally rolled out native app support for the Apple iPad. The update allows Snapchat users to utilize the device’s entire screen for the first time.
Until this update, iPad users were forced to use the iPhone version of the popular app, which was optimized for the iPhone’s small screen, not the larger screen of the iPad. This meant iPad users were forced to run the app at a lower resolution with large black borders. The app debuted on the iPhone in 2011.
The Snapchat for iPad version cannot support landscape mode on the iPad, meaning users will need to run it in portrait mode. But, isn’t that how most snapchatters use the app anyway?
Snapchat now offers native support for iPad! This means that Snapchat will fill an iPad’s full screen, providing you with a larger canvas when capturing Snaps and allowing you to see more friends on the 2nd and 4th tabs.
