The iOS 18 Public Beta (And Other Public Betas) Will Be Released Soon, Here’s How to Pre-Enroll

Apple will soon release the first public betas of iOS 18 and its other new operating systems, all of which will be released in its device-ready form this fall. Apple will soon launch the public betas of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and HomePod Software 18, meaning it’s time to pre-enroll in the public beta program if you want to give the upcoming operating systems a try.

Public Beta Enrollment

From the Apple Public Beta Website:

New public betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18, HomePod software 18 and watchOS 11 are coming soon. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can take part in shaping Apple software by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think.

Here’s how to enroll in Apple’s Public Beta Tester Program:

  1. Visit beta.apple.com on your Apple device
  2. Click or tap the blue “Sign Up” button.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID
  4. Read the Beta Software Program Agreement]
  5. Click or tap the blue “Agree” button
  6. Follow the guide for downloading and installing beta updates on your device of choice

Which Public Betas Are Available?

Public betas will be available for nearly all of Apple’s devices, with one notable exception.

The public betas that will be released this month include:

  • iOS 18
  • iPadOS 18
  • macOS Sequoia
  • watchOS 11
  • tvOS 18
  • HomePod software 18

The one Apple platform that will not have a public beta is the Vision Pro. Apple limits its visionOS beta access to developers only.
