Apple today seeded the second public beta of its macOS Sonoma 14.6 update. The new public beta comes one day after the release of the second developer beta seed.
Public beta testers can download the macOS Sonoma 14.6 update from the Software Update section of the System Preferences app after signing up on Apple’s beta testing website and opting into the public beta under the Beta Updates section.
Apple has not officially announced what other new features are available in the new macOS Sonoma 14.6 beta. We’ll update this space when we hear of new features.
MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
The days of macOS Sonoma betas are slowly winding down, as Apple has already released the first developer beta of macOS Sequoia, which is their upcoming new version of macOS, which will be released to the general public this fall.
