Apple on Tuesday seeded the Release Candidate (RC) of its macOS Sonoma 14.6 update to developers. The Release Candidate comes one week after the release of the fourth beta seed. The RC represents what will be the final version to the public unless last-minute issues are discovered.
The developer build of the macOS Sonoma 14.6 RC can be downloaded by developers through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.
Apple has not officially announced what new features are available in the macOS Sonoma 14.6 RC. We’ll update this space if we hear of new features.
As usual, both MacTrast and Apple warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
