Leaker Sonny Dickson today shared an image that he says shows a selection of iPhone 16 dummy models, that reveal planned new color options, as well as the redesigned camera bump that is on the way to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus handsets. Dickson has proven himself in the past, providing reliable peeks at upcoming Apple products.
The picture indicates five new color options for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which match up well with the color descriptions previously predicted by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which are White, Black, Blue, Green, and Pink. The current iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus devices are available in Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black.
The new color options show off a less muted, less desaturated color palette for the standard iPhone 16 models, although there could be final differences in the actual production iPhone 16 colors, due to differences in the materials that will be used during actual production, compared to the dummy models shown in the photo.
The 6.1- and 6.7-inch iPhone 16 models are expected to feature a new vertical camera lens arrangement that is a departure from the prior diagonal lens setup. The new orientation is said to allow standard iPhone 16 models to capture Spatial Video for the Vision Pro headset.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to be powered by an A18 chip, boast 8GB of RAM, a new “Capture” button on the right side for photos and video, and more. The iPhone 16 series is expected to debut sometime in September.
