Apple on Monday released watchOS 10.6 to the public, its sixth major update to the watchOS 10 operating system that was released in September.
The watchOS 10.6 update does not add any new features to watchOS 10 and instead focuses on bug fixes and security improvements.
watchOS 10.6 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to “General” -> “Software Update.” The Apple Watch needs to have at least a 50% battery charge, needs to be on a charger, and needs to be in the range of the iPhone.
Apple will soon cease updates to watchOS 10, as watchOS 11, the next-generation version of watchOS, is set to be released in September.
