Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 Pro lineup will boast the thinnest bezels of any smartphone, even thinner than the screen border of its current iPhone 15 Pro devices, claims the leaker known as “Ice Universe.” The leaker has shared accurate information about Apple’s plans in the past.
Multiple sources have claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will both increase in size from the current Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro is predicted to be 6.3 inches (up from 6.1), while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to measure in at 6.9 inches (up from 6.7).
Ice Universe claims that this year’s Pro models will also boast reduced bezels that could be the thinnest yet seen on any smartphone, including the bezels found on the Samsung Galaxy S24.
Apple may be able to make the bezels thinner thanks to its rumored use of Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology, allowing for a more compact and efficient layout of the circuitry under the display, resulting in slimmer bezels.
We’ll continue to see rumors about the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max lineups right up to when they’re unveiled in September, so stay tuned.
