Apple today announced that its Apple Diagnostics for Self-Service Repair is now available in 32 European countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The software tool is a diagnostics tool for self-service iPhone, Mac, and Studio Display repairs.
The tool, which was previously limited to technicians at Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers, first became available for self-service repairs in the U.S. last year. With this expansion, Apple Diagnostics for Self-Service Repair now supports iPhone, Mac, and Studio Display models in 33 countries and 24 languages.
Apple in April 2022 launched a Self Service Repair program for iPhones and Macs, providing repair kits, repair manuals, and components to customers. Apple also offers repair programs for independent repair shops, including the Apple Authorized Service Provider option and the Independent Repair Provider program.
Self-Service Repair supports 42 Apple products and now includes MacBook Air models powered by M3. Next year, Canada will become the 34th country in which Apple offers Self Service Repair.
