Bloomberg’s Gurman: No New iPad Mini Until Late 2024 at Best

While Apple last week unveiled new iPad Pro and iPad Air models, nothing was mentioned about when we might expect to see a new iPad mini.

Apple’s smallest iPad hasn’t been updated since 2021, so it is more than due for a refresh. Unfortunately, those holding off buying a new mini will have to hold off a bit longer, as Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman says we won’t see a seventh generation of Apple’s 8.3-inch iPad mini until late this year at the earliest.

Gurman’s comments came in his latest Power On newsletter, where he cautioned his readers not to expect a new iPad mini model “until the end of this year at the earliest.” so there likely will not be an iPad mini 7 announcement during Apple’s upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

Gurman expects the next iPad model to feature a newer processor, but few other changes. Other rumors have claimed we’ll also see new camera upgrades, as well as a possible fix for the “jelly scrolling” display behavior users have experienced on the latest mini model.
