Don’t expect to see a refreshed Mac Studio or Mac Pro, powered by next-generation High-end Apple Silicon until the middle of 2015, says Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Gurman’s comments came in the latest edition of his “Power On” newsletter. Gurman said that Apple’s current schedule does not include the launch of new Mac Studio and Mac Pro models until the middle of next year.
The Mac Studio and Mac Pro were last updated with M2-series chips at WWDC in 2023, meaning the Macs could go as long as 24 months without an update. Apple’s most recent Apple Silicon powerhouse is the M4 chip currently powering the new iPad Pro.
Gurman says to expect all other Mac models – except the MacBook Air – to be available with M4-series chips by the end of 2024. No new Macs are expected to be announced during WWDC, which runs from June 10 to 14.
