Apple Shares Full Schedule for WWDC 24, Confirms Time for June 10 Keynote Address

Apple on Tuesday announced the full schedule for its upcoming 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC24), which will take place from June 10 through June 14.

WWDC24 Keynote

The WWDC keynote address will take place on June 10 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, noon Central Time). Apple traditionally uses the WWDC keynote address to preview its upcoming new versions of its operating systems, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, visionOS 2, tvOS 18, and watchOS 11. So far, we have not heard any rumors of any hardware unveiling during the WWDC24 keynote address. While new hardware announcements are somewhat rare at WWDC, we do see them from time to time.

The WWDC24 keynote event will be available for live streaming via YouTube, Apple’s website, the Apple Developer App, and the Apple TV app. A playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream on the Apple Developer app, website, and Apple’s YouTube channel.

Platforms State of the Union

Following the keynote address, Apple will also hold the Platforms State of the Union, and the Apple Design Awards on that same day.

The Platforms State of the Union will be held at 1:00 p.m. PDT,  taking “a deeper dive into the latest advances across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS, and new tools that will further empower Apple developers.” Viewers can stream The Platforms State of the Union via the Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website. A rerun of the event will be available after the conclusion of the stream on the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel.

A select number of developers have been invited to a special viewing party at the Apple Park campus, where they will be able to view both the WWDC24 keynote and the Platforms State of the Union.

Apple Design Awards

The Apple Design Awards “celebrate excellence in app and game design and highlight the craft, creativity, and technical expertise that developers bring to their work.” This year’s finalists were unveiled today on the Apple Developer website and in the Apple Developer app. This year’s winners will be soon be announced.

Swift Student Challenge

Apple’s Swift Student Challenge is one of many ways Apple seeks to give the next generation of technologists, creators, and entrepreneurs a hand up. This year, Apple has named 50 “Distinguished Winners,” recognizing them for outstanding submissions and the 50 winners will visit Apple Park for three days of special activities throughout the week of WWDC24.

Access to Experts

Apple experts will be available during WWDC24 to connect directly with Apple Developer Program members and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members through online labs and in-depth consultations. The experts will provide guidance on implementing the latest Apple technologies, following best practices, and more.

Session Videos and Guides

Apple will release over 100 technical sessions throughout the week. Developers will enjoy a chance to hear from Apple engineers, designers, and other experts for a deeper dive into the latest technologies and frameworks. Sessions will be available on the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel.
