Apple today seeded the fourth beta of its macOS Sonoma 14.5 update to developers and public beta testers. The new beta comes one week after the release of the third beta.
The developer build of macOS Sonoma 14.5 can be downloaded by developers through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.
Public beta testers can download the macOS Sonoma 14.5 update from the Software Update section of the System Preferences app after signing up on Apple’s beta testing website and opting into the public beta under the Beta Updates section.
So far, no new features have been found in any of the macOS Sonoma 14.5 betas. We’ll update this space if and when we hear of new features.
New release candidate versions of macOS Ventura 13.6.7 and macOS Monterey 12.7.5 have also been seeded to developers.
As usual, both MacTrast and Apple warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
