Apple on Tuesday released visionOS 1.1.2, a minor update to the visionOS operating system for the Apple Vision Pro. Apple also released a revised visionOS 1.2 beta that is available to developers.
The new visionOS update can be installed by opening the Settings app on the Vision Pro and going to the “General” section and selecting “Software Update.” The Vision Pro headset will need to be removed to install new software, and a progress bar will be available on the front EyeSight display.
Apple’s release notes for the update say visionOS 1.1.12 introduces unspecified bug fixes. The software is recommended for all users.
Apple has also released a revised visionOS 1.2 beta that is available to developers. The new version has a 21O5555f version number, up from the prior 21O5555e version.
The visionOS beta can be downloaded by developers by going to the Settings app on the device and toggling on the developer betas switch. Access to the beta requires a registered developer account. Apple recommends that developers make a backup before installing the new beta.
