The new M3 MacBook Air models that will begin arriving in-store today will have a day-one update waiting for it right out of the box.
As pointed out by MacRumors, both the 13.6-inch and 15.3-inch MacBook Air models that are set to launch today are running a special build of macOS Sonoma 14.3, with a version number of 23D2057.
Users will be prompted to update their new MacBook Air to macOS Sonoma 14.4, which was released to the public on Thursday. The update is not already installed on the new MacBook Air models due to the timing of the new software version’s launch, as well as the release timeframe of the new MacBooks.
The new MacBook Air is available in four colors: midnight (which features a breakthrough anodization seal to reduce fingerprints), starlight, space gray, and silver.
The MacBook Air is available with a base price of $1,099 for the 13-inch version and $1299 for the 15-inch version.
