Apple today seeded the second beta of its macOS Sonoma 14.3 update to developers. The new beta comes three weeks after the release of the first beta.
The developer build of macOS Sonoma 14.3 can be downloaded by developers through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.
Apple has not announced what new features are available in the new macOS Sonoma 14.3 beta and no new features were discovered in the initial beta seed. We’ll update this space if new features are discovered.
Apple also today seeded the second betas of iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3, only to pull the beta from availability a mere three hours later. The new seeds are no longer available to download and install, either as a download from the Developer Center or over the air.
Apple removed the second iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 betas following reports from several users that the software had bricked their devices, by putting the handsets into a boot loop.
As usual, both MacTrast and Apple warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
