Apple is carrying on with an annual holiday season tradition, sharing its annual holiday-themed ad, entitled “Fuzzy Feelings.” The ad focuses on a young woman working on a holiday-themed stop-motion video in her spare time.
The stop-motion video stars her grumpy boss, who scolds her for being late, saddles her with last-minute assignments, and generally makes her miserable. She vents her frustrations by creating a stop-motion video depicting him in uncomfortable situations, such as losing his pants, getting covered by snow from a snow plow, and being shocked by Christmas lights.
However, she begins to see him in a new light when the boss hands out handmade holiday gifts, and she later sees him sitting in a restaurant, eating alone. She then makes some positive changes in the animation. She also makes an effort to get to know her boss a bit better, sitting down with him in the company lunchroom.
Creativity has the power to change the way we see each other, and the world. Sometimes, seeing things through a new lens can make all the difference. You make the holidays.
Damn it Apple! You are not going to make me cry again this year!
Apple has also released a behind-the-scenes look at how the video was filmed. (It was created using an iPhone 15 Pro Max and was edited on a MacBook Air.)
Okay Apple, you win again.
Apple also posted a version of the video that includes audio descriptions, for the visually impaired.
