Today marks the 12th anniversary of the death of Steve Jobs at age 56. Jobs died one day after Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S.
Even after 12 years, Apple still has a “Remembering Steve” page on its website, containing condolences shared by friends, colleagues, and customers around the world.
Over a million people from all over the world have shared their memories, thoughts, and feelings about Steve. One thing they all have in common — from personal friends to colleagues to owners of Apple products — is how they’ve been touched by his passion and creativity. Steve, you changed the technology industry with not the most revolutionary, but evolutiionary devices in the history of man kind. I am extremely proud to have an Apple iPhone, and use the iMac and Macbook at school, and they are extremely evolutionary. I love Apple and all of its glorious products. and I hope one day to own every Apple product there is. I hope that you Steve get to look down from heaven at all of the Apple stores and watch people become amazed at the products Apple has to offer, and i wish while you do that you get to show God how to use the iMac, iPhone, iPod, iPad, and all of the other terrific products your amazing company has created for years. Steve, Thank you for touching my life in ways you can’t imagine. I was especially inspired by your fighting spirit to persist to create value despite your battle with cancer. I am also a 4th stage cancer patient and undergo the process of living but you inspired me to never settle and not be burdened with others’ opinions. I’d like to join in remembering Steve Jobs. I thank him for everything he accomplished and built. Without Mr. Jobs, this website wouldn’t exist, and I wouldn’t be doing what I love today. Steve Jobs wasn’t perfect, but he was almost always interesting. We miss you, Steve, thanks for everything.
