A new version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro featuring the M3 chip is unlikely to debut at Apple’s upcoming “Scary Fast” Mac event, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman.
In last week’s edition of his “Power On” newsletter, Gurman said that supplies of the 13-inch MacBook Pro were running low, indicating that we could see a replacement debut on the 30th, which is when the event will be held.
However, Gurman now says that the new machine likely won’t appear at the event. Apparently, the new entry-level MacBook Pro, codenamed “J504,” is still in the works and will feature a “base version of the M3 chip.”
This means that we’ll likely see the debut of a new iMac, as well as 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, all with M3-series chips. Gurman does not expect to see any other updated devices at the event.
