iFixit has released a video teardown of Apple’s new Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9, providing an inside look at the watches.
The video confirms previous reports that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is equipped with a slightly larger 564 mAh battery, which is a 4% bump from the previous model’s 542 mAh battery. (Apple claims battery life of up to 36 hours for the Apple Watch Ultra 2, the same as last year’s model.)
The video also shows that the 41mm Apple Watch Series 9’s battery capacity is 282 mAh, which is unchanged from the 41mm Series 8.
The iFixit teardown did not reveal any glaringly obvious hardware changes connected to the new Double Tap gesture, which will be enabled with the release of watchOS 10.1 next month.
