While Apple has equipped its entire iPhone 15 lineup with a USB-C port replacing a Lightning port, Apple continues to sell a small number of products that use a Lightning connector. In his “Power On” newsletter on Sunday, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman revealed when some of these products will make the move to USB-C.
Gurman said he expects Apple’s Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard will receive the USB-C treatment alongside the next iMac.
He also said the standard AirPods should receive a USB-C charging case update in 2024.
He also expects the next AirPods Max to be equipped with a USB-C port, but he did not provide a timeframe for the release of the updated over-ear headphones. He previously reported that the AirPods Max could be updated as early as next year.
Gurman also expects the MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo Charger accessories to return in a USB-C compatible form.
