Apple Retail Employees Getting Reduced Raises Between Two and Five Percent in 2023

Apple’s retail employees can expect to receive raises between two and five percent this year, which is a smaller pay increase than Apple provided last year during the pandemic, reports Bloomberg. The annual raises are for retail employees and AppleCare technical support employees.

Apple provides raises as a part of its annual employee reviews, which are performed in the fall. In 2022, Apple offered much larger raises of eight to 10 percent. Apple was offering larger raises in the face of labor shortages and widening employee unionization efforts. However, employee unionization efforts haven’t gained any real traction, while wage growth in the U.S. has fallen.

Most of Apple’s retail employees in the United States earn now $22 to $30 per hour and are given restricted stock units valued at up to $2,000 annually.
