Apple on Tuesday announced the addition of new 6TB and 12TB storage tiers for its iCloud+ cloud storage subscription service, beginning Monday, September 18.
The new 6TB iCloud+ will be priced at $29.99 per month, while the 12TB plan costs $59.99 per month. The new, higher storage tiers will provide an option for iCloud+ users who have already outgrown the previous 2TB of storage limit.
Every Apple ID receives 5GB of free cloud storage. However, users can pay to upgrade to an iCloud+ storage subscription plan to with 50GB ($0.99 per month), 200GB ($2.99 per month), 2TB ($9.99 per month), 6TB, or 12TB of storage. Paid iCloud+ storage plans also include several other features, including iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, and Custom Email Domains.
Like other iCloud+ subscription plans, the new 6TB and 12TB cloud storage space can be shared among up to six people via Family Sharing. The bigger iCloud plans are set to become available on Monday, September 18.
