iPhone 15 Pro to Replace Gold & Purple Color Options With Blue & Gray Titanium

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to replace the traditional stainless steel frame with one made of titanium, and with the changeover, Apple will drop some color options to offer new colors.

9to5Mac today reported that its sources tell it that Apple will be introducing a new dark blue color, which will be joined by silver, space black, and a natural titanium shade. Apple is said to be dropping the gold option as well as

A report from 9to5Mac in February had said that a source told them that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models would be available in an exclusive dark red color that was said to be close to a burgundy shade. The hex code for the color was said to be  #410D0D, which is described as dark sienna.

However, that February report has turned out to be inaccurate, and Apple is said to be offering only the above options. Apple also does not plan to sell a gold ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ or Pro Max this year, as well as the special deep purple color that was used for this model year. Gold has long been a color option for the iPhone Pro models, thanks to the color’s popularity in China.

9to5Mac says the standard iPhone 15 models will be available in black, green, blue, yellow, and pink, all of which have been rumored previously.

As usual, reports like these should be taken with a grain of your favorite low-sodium seasoning. We won’t know anything about the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineups until Apple unveils the new handsets this September. Many rumors suggest Apple’s iPhone media event will take place on Tuesday, September 12.
