Apple’s iPhone 15 Lineup Expected to Debut September 12 or 13, Hit Store Shelves on September 22

Apple’s annual iPhone unveiling event should take place on either Tuesday, September 12, or Wednesday, September 13, this year, says Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman. Gurman’s comments came in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter. That means pre-orders for the new iPhones should go live a few days later on Friday, September 15, and a launch would likely happen one week later on September 22.

Apple traditionally holds its iPhone event sometime in the first two weeks of September, allowing it to launch the devices that month, bringing in added revenue for the company/s fiscal quarter, which wraps up in September. While the iPhone 15 lineup is expected to debut on time, there have been rumors of some production issues, which could mean some models will be in tight supply or may even launch slightly later in the year.

Apple usually sends out media invitations a week or so in advance, so it’ll be at least three or so weeks until we get official confirmation on the event’s date.

Apple is also expected to debut its new Apple Watch Series 9 and second-generation Apple Watch Ultra wearables alongside the iPhone 15, as well as the official launch dates for iOS 17, watchOS 10, and possibly iPadOS 17.
