Filmmaker Says Final Cut Pro to be Available for Apple Vision Pro at Launch

YouTuber and filmmaker Matti Haapoja says Final Cut Pro will be available for the Apple Vision Pro at launch. However, we’re not sure whether it will be using the recently-released iPad version of Final Cut Pro or if it will be a version of the app created especially for Apple Vision Pro.

Earlier this week, Apple debuted its new Vision Pro mixed-reality headset. One of the largest selling features is the ability to work in a virtual space with a series of digital “monitors.”

During the video presentation about Vision Pro, we saw users in several apps, including Mail, TV, Safari, and Freeform.  However, according to Matti Haapoja, Final Cut Pro will also be available for Vision Pro — at launch. During the presentation, the video showed a user working on Final Cut Pro via a Mac window.

It is possible that the Vision Pro could use the iPadOS version of Final Cut Pro, (The Vision Pro works with iPadOS apps) or perhaps a version designed specifically for the headset.

Apple released Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for the iPad back in May. Subscriptions to either app are available for $4.99 per month or $49 per year.
